Easy Chicken (Beef) and Gravy in a Crockpot

Easy Chicken (Beef) and Gravy in a Crockpot

About a pound of chicken tenderloins (beef cubed steak)—no need to brown it
1 jar of chicken or turkey (beef) gravy—I like Boston Market the best
1 can of cream of chicken (cream of mushroom or onion) soup, undiluted

Mix the gravy and soup. Just barely cover the bottom of the crockpot with the soup mixture. Place half of the chicken (beef) on the soup mixture. Put half of the remaining soup mixture over the chicken (beef). Place the remainder of the chicken (beef) in the crockpot. Cover everything with the rest of the soup mixture.

Turn the crockpot to Low and cook as long as you like. I usually cook it 24 hours, but it will be ready way before then. My crockpot is slow, but I only cooked it for a few hours in my daughter’s crockpot, which is much faster. You can always add a little water and stir it if the gravy cooks down too much.

I like the chicken served with rice and the beef served with mashed
potatoes.
