6 Hour Chicken Stew
1 lrg chicken fryer
10 med carrots
10 sm white potatoes
2 cup mushrooms
6 celery stalks cut 3 sections each
1 cup uncooked wild rice
3 cup canned chicken broth
3 cup water
2 tbl sugar melted slowly til caramelized
fresh cilantro to taste
Method :
Put all ingredients into a large covered pot and cook on 225 degrees F (Low setting on your crockpot) for 6 hours.
Your kitchen will smell heavenly and this stew makes its own gravy - delicious!!!

This looks great! Thanks for putting it on the carnival. Two questions though:
1. By "large", what size chicken are we looking at? Can you give a of range of weights? I worry that the US might have different ideas of "large" than us in Australia :-)
2. Is it bad to leave out the sugar? It's the only part that looks like "advanced cooking" to me, and I tend to leave that to my more-capable wife.
